Play squash in Melbourn – near Royston and Cambridge

 

Melbourn Squash Club is a small, friendly and inclusive squash club in South Cambridgeshire. We have two squash courts available to members 24/7 and to casual players when Melbourn Sports Centre is open. The club is beside the Sports Centre at the back of Melbourn Village College – less than four miles north of Royston and around ten miles south of Cambridge.

 

Courts, facilities and booking

 

Our two squash courts are well maintained, with good lighting and heating. We have separate changing and showering facilities for male and female members, plus a large balcony overlooking the courts. Members book courts through our online electronic booking system, which lets you reserve a court on the website and generates a code to turn on the lights.

 

Club nights, leagues and competitions

 

Melbourn Squash Club has an active internal league and we run teams in both the Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire squash leagues. The club is in Cambridgeshire but very close to the Hertfordshire and Essex borders, so we attract players from a wide local area, including Royston and surrounding villages. Our main Club Night is on Thursday evening and we host a dedicated Women & Girls Session on Mondays. These sessions are ideal for people who are new to squash, as well as regular players who want sociable match play against a mix of abilities.
